In 2007, PayMedia and Broadcast Projects, in association with their partner thebrainbehind (Munich), conducted a worldwide review and benchmarking of the user interfaces of 20+ platforms around the world. The projects involved extensive performance benchmarking of each set top box and presented video and screenshot-based walk-throughs of each User Interface (UI).

The study reviewed the user experience of advanced services such as VOD, PVR and guide products. The walk-through documents covered the available functionality in details, with embedded comments detailing the plus and negative points of each service. Our Platform Performance and User Interface work is available on an ad-hoc or subscription basis, and will be updated annually.
